TEF Canada Test Centres and Fees: Finder, Examples and Booking Checks
Use the official centre finder and compare dated Canadian four-component fee examples with local change and cancellation terms.
TEF Canada fees are set by the test centre, so there is no reliable worldwide price to quote. Use CCI's centre finder for a current TEF Canada session, then check the exact component package, total checkout price and change terms with that centre. As dated examples, two Canadian centre groups displayed $390 for four components on September 29, 2026; Toronto explicitly labelled its amount CAD, while Montréal's page requires currency confirmation. Neither example establishes a universal fee or seat availability.
How to find a recognized TEF Canada centre
- Start from Le français des affaires' official centre-finder page. It links the provider's map and instructs candidates to enter a city or country, select the correct test and inspect dates.
- Choose TEF Canada, not TEF IRN, TEF Études or another TEF version. Check that the session offers the component set your receiving authority requires. CCI's presentation describes four components for an immigration application and two oral components for a citizenship application; verify your own requirement before paying.
- Open the selected centre's own registration page or contact it. CCI says centres set their fees, organize sessions independently and are the contact for pre-registration, convocation and possible cancellation.
- Before checkout, confirm the displayed currency, included components, taxes or service charges, total payment, date, venue, identification rules and any transfer conditions. Save the centre's written confirmation.
CCI's finder can display centres and future sessions, but this article has no live connection to its inventory. A centre appearing on a page does not mean a seat is available today. The provider says a validated registration leads to a convocation by email; if none arrives close to the date, check spam and contact the centre.

These are examples, not recommendations or a national comparison of all centres. The quoted pages do not resolve every tax, processing-fee or optional-preparation inclusion question; get the final payable amount before authorizing payment. Montréal advertises an optional discounted PrepMyFuture product on a separate page; the exam-only figure above is not a promise that preparation is included. Toronto's page also has inconsistent two-module price wording in one FAQ step, so this comparison deliberately reports only the clearly stated four-module price. Confirm any two-module fee directly with the centre.
Cancellation: read the provider and centre together
CCI's current general registration conditions describe firm registration, no refund for unjustified absence, and a possible report to another session after an absence justified and validated by CCI under specified time limits. A centre may publish its own administrative transfer or cancellation steps. Do not assume that either a routine voluntary change or an exceptional justified-absence request will be approved automatically. Ask the centre how its stated policy interacts with CCI's conditions for your exact booking.
Do not book a second date to bypass a full session. CCI's conditions prohibit sitting the same TEF component, across TEF versions, twice within 20 days. Its TEF Canada results page also states a 20-day wait between successive test sittings. If your timing is tight, use the results and retake guide before making a plan.
Copyable questions for the centre
- Is this exact session TEF Canada, and does the fee cover the required two or four components?
- What is the final amount in the displayed currency after applicable taxes or service charges? Does it include only the test?
- What identification and convocation presentation do you require? Where and when should I report?
- What is the written policy for a voluntary transfer, a serious justified absence and a centre-initiated change?
- How will I receive the convocation and who should I contact if my personal details are wrong?
