Language learning deserves useful explanations. Immigration information demands something stricter: dated claims, official sources, clear limits, and corrections when the facts move.

Primary sources for changing rules

Immigration requirements, language-score tables, and exam formats are checked against the responsible government or official test provider—not another blog or a search snippet.

Rules are not predictions

We distinguish current requirements, announced proposals, and interpretation. We do not promise invitations, scores, processing outcomes, or “guaranteed” pathways.

Original utility, not padded summaries

A guide should add a useful plan, comparison, worked example, checklist, practice method, or decision framework. Rewording an official page is not enough.

What belongs in the field guide

We publish where InfinLume has a legitimate reason to help: French learning, grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, language-learning research, TEF and TCF preparation, and the role French can play in Canadian immigration and settlement.

We do not provide personalized legal advice, assess someone's eligibility, predict an invitation round, or tell readers how a complex legal situation will be decided. Those questions belong with an authorized immigration professional.

How sources are chosen

For volatile or high-consequence facts, our source order is:

  1. Current legislation, regulations, ministerial instructions, or public policy.
  2. Current IRCC, Canada.ca, provincial, territorial, or Québec government pages.
  3. Official test-provider documentation from CCI Paris Île-de-France or France Éducation international.
  4. Official language-framework documentation such as CEFR or NCLC materials.

Community discussions and search results can reveal a question worth answering. They do not establish the answer. Immigration claims should link readers to the official source that controls the rule.

How automation and AI are used

AI tools may assist with research organization, outlining, drafting, code, and quality checks. Generated text is never treated as evidence. The publication standard is the rendered page: factual claims must be checked against the cited source and overlapping pages must have distinct value.

We distinguish official test-provider material, unofficial recalled or community-circulated questions, and InfinLume-authored practice. Recalled questions are presented only as unofficial practice: they may not reproduce an exam verbatim and are not promised to appear again. InfinLume-authored material is never presented as official or recalled.

We do not create fictional authors, reviewers, credentials, testimonials, usage numbers, or search volumes. If specialist review is required and unavailable, the article remains a draft.

Are learners research subjects?

No. We summarize published language-learning research and apply it to practical learning methods. Reading the Field Guide or using InfinLume does not enroll someone in a research study. “Field Guide” and “Field Notes” are editorial names, not labels for human-subject research.

We may use ordinary website and product analytics, support feedback, and recognition-error patterns to improve the Services as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not publish identifiable learner data as editorial research. If we conduct a formal study involving users, we will provide separate notice and obtain consent where required. Testimonials, quotations, and identifiable learner stories are published only with permission.

Extra rules for immigration content

  • A visible date should tell readers when the facts were checked.
  • Current rules must be separated from proposals, historical rules, and commentary.
  • Evergreen URLs are updated instead of replaced with near-duplicate yearly pages.
  • Materially stale content is corrected, clearly flagged, or removed from search until it is safe.
  • Eligibility details that could change someone's decision require qualified specialist review before publication.

How product reviews work

Reviews and comparisons should identify what was actually checked: live product pages, captured prices, install guidance, screenshots, and product flows. A capture date matters because features and prices change. Commercial comparison pages should still say what the competing product does well and where the evidence stops.

Updates, dates, and corrections

A publication date records when a page first appeared. A modified date should change only after a material editorial update—not because a page was viewed or a source was reopened. A facts-checked date may be newer when the claims were verified without changing the article.

If you find an error, send the page URL, the statement in question, and the strongest source you have. We will investigate material corrections and update the page when warranted.
