Read your result in Canadian French benchmarks, then check the score you need in each skill. Free to use, with no account required.

Use the scaled scores on your certificate, not the number of correct answers. NCLC 10 is the highest band shown here, not a claim that higher benchmarks do not exist.

NCLC is the French-language benchmark framework. CLB is the English-language framework. For French test results, use the NCLC table for your test and certificate scale, even if you searched for a “TCF to CLB calculator.”

TCF listening and reading use scaled scores; speaking and writing use marks out of 20. Correct-answer totals do not convert reliably into an official TCF score. This tool only maps certificate scores to the published benchmark bands.

For TEF in Express Entry, IRCC directs candidates to use the previous-score-equivalency column. The current /699 scale has different thresholds from the historical /699 scale. Changing the selected scale clears your inputs to prevent accidental mixing.
